 Professional Staff Profiles

1. Sahala P. Sinurat is the founder -with two others- of PT Samchads Consulting Indonesia. He accomplished, after getting a scholarship from Overseas Fellowship Program (World Bank), his master degree in Operations Research from University of Delaware, Newark (US) in 1990.

Mr. Sinurat has a proven record of teaching, training and consulting experiences and exposure to different cultures behind him, as he held several positions at various organizations that include:
  • A researcher for the National Institute for Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN)
  • Professional Staff to Lembaga PPM (a well-known management institute in Indonesia), specialized in human resources management and development, operations/production management, quantitative analysis; lecturer at post graduate of Lembaga PPM. He has about 8500 hours of teaching to big, medium and small companies, local as well as multinational companies.
  • Training and Development Manager for Rothmans of Pall Mall Indonesia, producer of white cigarette such as Dunhill, Kansas, White Horses, etc. His final project with the company was to lead assessment and selection process for merger purposes between British American Tobacco – Rothmans of Pall Mall Indonesia).
  • Training and Developing Manager for the British American Tobacco Indonesia.
  • Managing Director of Samchads Consulting Indonesia.

2. Twela Gunawan is a senior professional staff of PT Samchads Consulting Indonesia. Born in Jakarta. Having graduated from the Faculty or Economics, University of Indonesia, he continued and attained his post graduate degree in business administration from the Graduate School of Institute for Business Indonesia (IBII), Jakarta.

He displays an extensive career in the field of marketing and human resources as he has held several positions such as Junior Staff at PT SGV-Utomo, Media Marketing Manager to Chuo-Senko Inc. Indonesia, Advertising Manager to PT Masa Merdeka, Account (Client Service) Manager of PT Cipta Citra Advertising, Professional Staff to Institute for Management Development and Education (LPPM), Assistant General Manager of Federal Express-Indonesia, Senior Human Resources Manager of PT Profindo Semesta Indonesia and Acting GM–Human Resources to BOC Gases Indonesia.

With more than 20 years of working background, he is an experienced trainer, consultant and group facilitator. His extensive client list includes Astra Group, Matahari Department Store, Lily Kasoem Optical, Pasar Raya Dept. Store, NV Soedarpo Inc., Caltex Pacific, etc.

3. Binari S. is a senior associate consultant to Samchads Consulting Indonesia. After graduating from University of Krisnadwipayana, he continued and obtained his master degree in Agricultural Economics from Institut Pertanian Bogor in 1993.

Currently he is the Corporate Secretary to Corporate Leadership Development Institute (CLDI). CLDI is a prestigious institute in Indonesia focus on leadership development. Prior to his current post, he was Assistant to Expert Staff to the Office of State Owned Enterprises (Kantor Menteri Pendayagunaan BUMN/Badan Pembina BUMN).

He has an extensive experience in teaching, mostly in management field, to Post Graduate Program Of IPWI - Jakarta. He also has lead many consulting project to non-government organization in the field of marketing management, finance management and Human resources management.

4.    Budi Utomo is an associate professional staff of PT Samchads Consulting Indonesia. Obtaining his first degree in Civil Engineering and master degree in Industrial Engineering from ITB, he then worked for about 6 years in Lembaga PPM. He has extensive experience working as a consultant and a trainer. Then he moved to be a facilitator for training center to a multi national company. His currently post to this company is as a Logistics Manager.

5.    Marcellino R. Pandin is a senior professional staff of PT Samchads Consulting Indonesia. Obtaining his first degree in Architecture from ITB, he then worked for about 2 years for Architecture Company in Singapore. Moved back to Indonesia and worked for 6 years in Lembaga PPM. He has extensive experience working as a consultant and a trainer. He continued his study and obtained his master degree from LPPM and his master degree in philosophy from Cambridge University, England.

He has a lot of exposures to international projects as he has worked for Fraunhofer Institute, Berlin-Germany as management consultant, Andersen Consulting, London as a management consulting, to Kerry Hill Co. Singapore as architect. His academic experince includes visiting lecturer to Technical University in Berlin, Visiting Researcher to Tokyo University. He also got numerous awards, to name a few SIDA, Swedish Fellowship, DAAD Germany Fellowship, University of Combridge Scholarship, Government of Israel Scholarship, JICA Fellowship, Honda-Japan Award. His current project is to develop directorship program curriculum sponsored by the World Bank.

6. Bachtiar is a senior professional staff to PT Samchads Consulting Indonesia. Attained his master degree in Operations Research from George Washington University, Washington DC, then he obtained his PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management from Oklahoma State University in 1996.

He has led many workshops on Management Operations/Production, Decision Analysis, Business Process Re-engineering, Statistical Quality Control, Total Qualtiy Management, Quality Assurance for both leaders and high performance team in business, industry and government. His clients includeed Telkom, Garuda, PLN and some banks.

7. Bambang Alamsyah is a professional staff to PT Samchads Consulting Indonesia. He has been working and consulting in personnel management, human resources development, training and development, management development, general management and organizational development.

Mr. Alamsyah received his master degree in Human Resources Management from University of Delaware in 1990.

8. Erni Pratiwi, MA is a senior professional staff of PT Samchads Consulting Indonesia. Born in Yogjakarta and obtained her master degree in Human Resources from the George Washington University in Washington DC, USA. She has a very good and unique blend of experiences as a training facilitator, consultant and practicing manager. She has led hundreds of training topics especially in HR field when she was working for LPPM. She also had led many consulting projects when she worked for the same institution. Her client lists come from many industries such as Oil Company, Hospital, BUMN, Pharmaceuticals, Construction, and Manufacturing Industries. 9. Paulus Sondakh, CPHR,CBA, an associate professional staff with more than 23 years on the staff up to managerial positions in various private and multinational companies. He is a career mostly in the field of Human Resources Management in a variety of corporate conglomerates, such as Sinar Mas Group, Rajawali Corporation (Excelcomindo Pratama), IN Group (Essenza), etc. with the last position as General Manager Corporate HR. He also had a hand in building the system and managerial competence to the manager and general manager in Indonesia Asia Pulp & Paper (APP), as well as a corporate trainer in the APP group.

Suwiro, manajer pembelian, di sebuah BUMN. Ia diangkat 3 bulan lalu menggantikan Pak Fadli yang pensiun.

Kebiasaan di departemennya, 1x sebulan diadakan rapat yang dihadiri sekitar 15-17 orang yang terdiri dari Direktur, para GM, Kadiv dan para Manajer. Salah satu materi rapat biasanya adalah presentasi 30 menit (berikut tanya jawab) yang dilakukan salah seorang peserta rapat. Materi presentasi biasanya terkait dengan topik yang hangat di bidang masing-masing. Hasil presentasi biasanya memuaskan karena para peserta memiliki tambahan pengetahuan baru. Bagi para pimpinan, hal ini penting, untuk mengenali kemampuan anak buah mereka dalam komunikasi, presentasi dan kemampuan mempengaruhi.

Pak Herman, atasan Suwiro, meminta Suwiro untuk mempersiapkan presentasi yang akan dilakukan dua Senin depan. Judul presentasi Suwiro adalah ‘Langkah-langkah Melakukan Negosiasi’. Topik ini dipilih karena memang dirasa bahwa perlu pemahaman bagi banyak pimpinan tentang topik ini, dan memang juga dirasakan bahwa perusahaan  perlu memiliki pendekatan yang sama dalam melakukan negosiasi.

Suwiro bingung karena ia belum paham langkah-langkahnya. Selama  ini ia lebih menggunakan pendekatan sederhana. Bagaimana ya… tanyanya dalam hati. Untuk itu, ia mencoba membaca buku, mencari di internet, namun belum juga dapat gambaran tentang langkah-langkah tersebut. Ia sedikit panik karena waktunya tinggal beberapa hari dan ia membayangkan dirinya presentasi dengan materi yang tidak tertata dengan baik.

Ia menelepon Anda. Anda pernah bersama dengan Suwiro dalam sebuah pelatihan. Ia menyatakan Anda bagus karena kemampuan Anda dalam mengerjakan kasus-kasus di pelatihan tersebut. Ia meminta advis Anda. Karena kesibukan, Anda meminta Suwiro untuk telepon Kamis. Dan kini Kamis, Suwiro tengah menunggu jawaban Anda.

Suwiro, manajer pembelian, di sebuah BUMN. Ia diangkat 3 bulan lalu menggantikan Pak Fadli yang pensiun.

Kebiasaan di departemennya, 1x sebulan diadakan rapat yang dihadiri sekitar 15-17 orang yang terdiri dari Direktur, para GM, Kadiv dan para Manajer. Salah satu materi rapat biasanya adalah presentasi 30 menit (berikut tanya jawab) yang dilakukan salah seorang peserta rapat.
